Consult

A consultation is a complete judgment in itself.

We have to ask carefully about what you've actually done before we can tell whether a path holds up, and what other options exist. So the consultation is the service, not a sales step.

What you leave with

A verdict first, then the path

Whether this path works: we open with the conclusion. If it does, we go to the next step. If it doesn't, we lay out the alternatives and what each one costs. We don't soften the answer to keep you as a client.

Your real through-line

We press on every experience, key course, real skill, personality trait and goal. Experiences can be scattered, but a through-line can be drawn out by asking. Many people reach this point and learn for the first time what their strongest card actually is.

A specific shortlist, with difficulty

Not a vague "consider finance", but specific programs, roles, regions or offices: which are reaches, which are safer, and why. Where it matters, we add front-line information that shapes the choice, such as visa thresholds, team growth and real hiring preferences.

A timeline worked backward

From the deadline or hiring window back to today: when to build skills, take the test, gain experience, start essays or start applying. Each milestone maps to a concrete action, not a "start early".

Same question, different answer

Is it hard to find a job in the US? Is it impossible to stay in the UK?

Generic answerYes, and yes.
In a consultationSeparate the two. For the US we look at four things: your resolve, personality, experience and technical skill. Where each one stands decides whether you go through applications or through networking, and which tier you can reach. For the UK it's whether your experience and skills match the kinds of roles that sponsor, and whether you can accept where you'd have to enter first. The same "it's hard" means "don't go" for one person and "you can go, but change the playbook" for another.

Should I take the GRE?

Generic answerYes.
In a consultationIt depends on your undergraduate school, your GPA, how much quantitative coursework is on your transcript, and which kind of program you're applying to. Some combinations get in without it; some don't get rescued by it; some only make sense above a certain score, and below that it's wasted time. You only know once the transcript is laid out in full.

Should I look for a full-time job now, or do a master's first?

Generic answerNone.
In a consultationFirst we assess your current grades, experience, realistic odds in a direct job search, and visa path. Some should search first and launch applications as a backstop if there's nothing by November; some should study first but start applying before enrollment; some don't need the degree at all. Different answers, completely different timelines.

I want to switch into software.

Three questions firstCan you: where's your base now, and which pieces are missing. Why: do you want to be an engineer, or do you think coding is an easier way to stay. Can you keep going: the window for this path is past its widest, and the same effort today doesn't buy what it did a few years ago. Only after those three do we talk programs, length, and when to start grinding problems.

I want to go into finance.

First we askWhich finance: front office, middle or back office, buy side, sell side, risk, quant. The entry bars are far apart. Which country is more realistic: the same resume maps to different roles and visa thresholds in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore and London. Which tier your experience can carry today, and whether the gap to the next tier is worth closing, and how.

I'm torn between a PhD and working.

In a consultationFirst we look at which of your past research and projects could become the through-line of a PhD application, and where the gaps are. Then which direction your background fits; for some fields we bring in a working researcher in that field to judge with us. And we say it plainly: a PhD still ends in a job search, you'll still learn to code, it isn't a way around it.

Send your resume, transcript, a short note on projects or research, and the question you're most stuck on. The more complete the materials, the more of the 75 minutes goes to judgment.

After the consultation

The verdict, the shortlist and the timeline are sent to you in writing. You don't need to take notes while listening.

If you sign on for full-cycle applications, the consultation fee is credited in full. If we judge that you don't fit, or don't need further service, we'll say so directly.

The MBA consultation also includes an experience inventory and a read on narrative potential: which experiences can carry an MBA through-line, what's missing, and how to arrange this year's work accordingly.

Application strategy & positioning is the stage before full-cycle applications: a clear written statement of the direction most worth pursuing now, the core experiences you can draw on, and the questions still to dig into. If you continue into full-cycle applications, the $1,500 is credited in full. Specific essay topics and content are developed one by one in later brainstorming. Whether or not we continue, the shortlist, resume and judgment already delivered are yours to keep.

Paid internships, paid researchWe don't do it, and we don't recommend it. Most master's programs don't weigh research. If you haven't done research by now, your path was never research-oriented, and there's no need to force it for an application. Finding an internship or a research role is itself a skill we want you to actually learn; a bought experience can't teach it.

Priced by goal, duration and scope, not by the session. IB front office / consulting / JD job search: from $18,000 to $23,000, with 3 to 6+ months of coaching. Other industries: $7,500 to $12,000, around 3 months of coaching.

After the initial assessment, scope, session count and refund terms are written into the contract.

No sessions for the sake of sessions. Fundamentals come through structured resources first; class time is kept for diagnosis, calibration and high-value feedback.

We don't execute for you, but we give you a clear cadence, method and feedback. Applying, practicing and the final action are still yours to do.

Refunds

Coaching services specify session counts and refund terms in the contract. If you land an offer early, the unused portion can be refunded as agreed, or kept for later when you need it.

Capacity

At most 10 full-cycle application students per season; career programs are also capped by current capacity. There is no customer service or sales team. From the first conversation, you're working directly with the founder.
