2.7 GPA · 8 Years of Experience → Rejected Across the Board → Michigan Ross, $100K Scholarship + Samsung GSG
Her first round of MBA applications, run through another agency, was rejected across the board. A 2.7 GPA and eight years of work experience, the old plan never made the value of that experience legible. We regrouped her eight years of projects by theme, rebuilt the through-line as using technology and communication to open doors for women, targeted programs that prize community impact and strong female participation, and set up alumni conversations. She was admitted to Michigan Ross with a $100K scholarship.
But admission day was only the start: MBA recruiting begins in September–October of the year you enroll, so spoken English, behavioral interviews, and case interviews all had to be polished before day one. She said it was harder than the gaokao. She landed Samsung's flagship GSG program, total package above $220K.
Experiences aren't scattered. Stories are.
